Disinterest Unto Perdition

 Disinterest Unto Perdition

Romans 2:5

“But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thy self wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;”

It is possible that some disinterested, unconcern, and profane person, or a religious lost individual who is not absolutely sure of their salvation, or one who is a self righteous moralist may, by divine providence, be reading these lines. If one of these is your case reader, you should know that unless the God of all mercy does something for you by His grace your present state is unto perdition. If you are disinterested in the state of your soul; or if your worship is not governed, and according to the scriptures; you have no reason whatsoever to think that God Almighty has any regard for you; in fact, according to arithmetic of the New Testament there are many more bound for hell than for heaven. “This is the testimony Jesus Christ: “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be that go in thereat: because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” (Matthew 7:13-14). Reader: pause and consider, are you traveling through this world on the broad road with the multitude, the host? Or are you traveling with the few on the narrow path, what is your state?

The God who has revealed His will in the Bible, is a God of Justice, and it is justice that is absolutely inflexible and of the most strict sort. It is true that the God of the Bible is a God of love (I John 4:8), but before His love can be exercised He is, and must always be a just God, and deals with men in the most strict justice. That is the reason the God of the Bible charged the sin of His elect to Jesus Christ, that, in the body and soul of Jesus Christ, God might punish all the sin of all His elect, so that sin can never again be charged to the children of God (Romans 4:6-8; I Corinthians 5:19) and all the children of the covenant are justified from all things (Acts 13:39) they are declared not guilty in the sight of God; because their sins were punished in the body and soul of Jesus Christ. All sin is against God (Psalm 51:4) and all sin must be punished; either in the Surety of the New Testament, our Lord Jesus Christ (Hebrews 7:22) or the persons themselves must endure their own punishment without end. And as it pleased God to impute sin to His Son, (Isaiah 53:6, 10; Galatians 3:13; II Corinthians 5:21; I Peter 2:24) just so, and in the same way it pleased God to impute the righteousness of His Son to His children of the covenant, through the faith of Jesus Christ (Romans 3:21-26; 4:22-25). All men without exception are by nature at enmity with God for it is written “Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be” (Romans 8:7). Because of covenant union in Adam, all men with the exception of Christ Jesus were made sinners, (Romans 5:12) and because of covenant union in Christ the children of promise are made the righteousness of God in Jesus Christ, (II Corinthians 5:21).

Many go through their life on earth without any apparent thought of eternity and the coming judgment, that fact in itself, should indicate to such persons that the God of the Bible has no regard for them. The reason is that “For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. If ye endure chastening, God dealing with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the Father chasteneth not? But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons” (Hebrews 12:6-8). And in the law of Moses it is written “A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the Lord; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the Lord (Deuteronomy 23:2). And to the religious who attend services where it is apparent that the preaching is not scriptural; but the traditions of former generations are preached: you should be warned of this, “ye have made the commandment of God of none effect by your traditions,” (Matthew 15:6). Men protest thus “if it was good enough for former generations, it is good enough for me” the truth is that if the faith of former generations was contrary to the scriptures, it was neither good for them nor for this generation. Preachers should preach the scriptures, leave the traditions of men on the dung hill of hypocrisy and leave the conviction of souls and the regeneration of the elect to God. Thus saith the Holy Ghost in the scriptures is the only warrant to speak in the name of the Lord.

The Jesus who came into this world to save all men without exception is not Jesus Christ of Holy Scripture; and is not worthy of worship. Our Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and Surety of the New Testament (Hebrews 7:22), the only Mediator between God and men (I Timothy 2:5) has warned us against such false Christs, and their prophets in the gospel of Matthew. “For there shall arise false Christ’s, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect (Matthew 24:24). Unregenerate men poising as preachers sent of God, come with nothing but natural reason as their guide. The things of the Spirit of God are altogether unknown to them and natural reason. Natural reason is requisite for the things of nature, and for this natural world. But, “the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God” (I Corinthians 2:11). False prophets preach “another gospel” as it is written “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:” (Galatians 1:6) and the false gospel which is preached by false prophets is based on “another Jesus” it is written “For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him” .. “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light,” (II Corinthians 11:4, 13, 14). Men who do not preach the Holy Scriptures but preach for doctrine the commandment of men, are enemies of the souls of men, enemies of the gospel, and the enemies of God. They are the murderers of the souls of men, though their message will please the flesh: for they say things like: “the choice is yours; it’s up to you; make your decision for Jesus; make it right with God; you are the master of your own destiny” and all such things that make salvation dependent upon the actions of men, and not the will of God. But the Holy Scriptures have declared that God chose His people out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation before the foundation of the world, (Ephesians 1:4; Revelation 5:9) and predestinated those whom he chose to the adoption of children by Jesus Christ according to His own will (Ephesians 1:5). Since God predestinated all the “remnant according to the election of grace” (Romans 11:5) “to be conformed to the image of his Son,” (Romans 8:29) and to “the adoption of children by Jesus Christ” (Ephesians 1:5), AND ALL THIS ACCORDING TO THE GOOD PLEASURE HIS WILL; how say some that God did, what He did, because He saw what man would do? That mode of thinking is either the deepest depth of stupidity; or the highest height of treachery; or a combination of both.

When the unconcerned sons of Adam ignore the truth the gospel, or when professing religionists delight themselves in a false gospel, which is centered in the will of man, or a Christ of their own imagination; they “heap to themselves wrath, against the day of wrath, for “vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord,” (Romans 12:19) and it is written “O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom ventence belongeth, shew thyself” (Psalm 94:1). Those who delight themselves in the worship of a false Christ, and those who ignore the truth of their need of a Savior, are willingly ignorant of the Christ of God. Being willingly ignorant, they sin willingly by “denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ” (Jude 4). And it is written “If we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. He that despised Moses law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite to the spirit of grace?” (Hebrews 10:26-29). O Dear Reader: how awful is the sin, of sinning against the knowledge of the truth!  See the writers blog at www.hebrews915.blogspot.com hear the true gospel preached at www.13thstbaptist.org webcasting live at listed services times.
